flash development

Derik Giner

Derik Giner is a local architect and photographer. He approached LiFT Studios about building a new site, and I developed the Wordpress and Flash components.

I worked closely with the other team members at LiFT to come up with a great way to present Derik's photographs with maximum impact.

Beluga Kiosk

I recently developed a touchscreen kiosk for the Vancouver Aquarium. I was tasked with building an actionscript based audio analysis display, which was to run on an HP TouchSmart.

The kiosk is centered around showing users that underwater noise pollution is a serious issue facing marine wildlife in Canada's Arctic.

We achieved this by allowing users to overlay spectrographs (visual representations of sound frequency) and play audio simultaneously to see and hear how beluga sounds interact with marine noise pollution.

LiFT Studios

the LiFT Studios website was one of the coolest sites I have had a chance to work on, simply because it has such a unique interface.

Actionscript sequencer

After experimenting with some new audio production tools (korg emx-1, reason, ableton) I have really been gaining an interest in the aspects of visual interface design and how they related to instruments. So I decided that it would be an interesting experiment to develop my own instrument.

I chose to try and build a relatively simple sequencer, but things quickly spiraled out of control

Ruth & David

Ruth and David are a realty team specializing in East Vancouver properties. Due to their focus on the East side of Vancouver, Ruth and David deal with a lot of family housing in some very charming neighbourhoods.

I wanted to bring out the character and sense of community offered by East Vancouver for this realty team.

Parissa

Parissa is a local manufacturer of hair removal products sold worldwide. Parissa came to the LiFT Studios team looking for us to work with their designer to develop a new e-commerce website for them.

High on Parissa's wish list was the integration of many community features, video integration and a clean and seamless checkout.
