    Blood on Our Hands

Blood on Our Hands is a music video I produced while in school at the Art Institute of Vancouver. After taking some classes in video editing and production, I had the skills to start bringing my ideas to life.

Blood on Our Hands by Death From Above 1979 sets a frantic pace. I wanted to create something that matches the pace and dark tone of this track.

The storyline for the video revolves around a couple who has a bad fight, and one of them takes their own life as a result. Visually I wanted this music video to look and feel like a bad dream.

Searching for a rather abstract look for the video led me to a combination of video effects and traditional animation, which created an intriguing and disturbing combination. Perfect!

the video took around 20 hours to shoot and edit, but over 45 hours and 6,000 frames of animation to produce. I think the video perfectly matches the pace and tone of the song, and makes it a hard hitting music video.
