the design palette was largely inspired by vintage electronics from the 1970's and 80's.Particularly yamaha stereo components from the mid to late 70's. Brushed aluminum and those gorgeous glowing interfaces both helped inspire this design.

The old site utilized very heavy ornate victorian graphics. My first thought with the new site is to let the fantastic photography on the site speak for itself with a much cleaner look and feel.

It seems that they are working on some sort of new tape or EP or something of the sort. This has me excited becuase they have been climbing into my playlists more and more steadily since I started listening to them.
Mr. Collins, like all the other memebers of the big up collective is a multi-talented dude. photography, illustration, and type all fall under his mastery.
I just love the pure minimalism of her drawings. I love the collections of objects and the patterns formed by repetition. Her minimalist aesthetic really speaks to me

The Stag family of typefaces is one which I only recently discovered, but I knew instantly that I was going to love this here font! (And yes I am continually amazed at what a huuuge nerd I am)
His fluid and finessed illustration style blends elements of manga and traditional comic style with rich color palettes.
